COVID-19 vaccination clinics to be held in Groton this week

Groton — Two COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held in Groton this week.

The first will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Lighthouse Square, 441 Long Hill Road, and the second will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Groton Community Center, 61 Fort Hill Road.

First doses, second doses and boosters of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available. The free clinics are for ages 5-11 and ages 12 and over.

The clinics are free. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is required.

“Please bring a health insurance card and photo ID if you have them, but it is not necessary to have health insurance or ID to receive the vaccine,” according to the flyers from the state Department of Public Health and Griffin Health. “No one will be turned away for lack of insurance or ID.”
