Norwich Arts Center puts on first children's play
The Norwich Arts Center recently put on its first children’s theater production, “Snow White,” which was held at the Donald L. Oat Theater June 3-4.
It was the first NAC-produced show since December 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A third show went off on Sunday, June 12.
A children’s play by Marjorie Sokoloff, the show is a different take on the Disney classic.
Director and producer Mary Kay Kelleher said she now plans on doing one children’s show a year at the theater, after the success of “Snow White.”
“The kids were great, it was a wonderful cast of children who worked so hard on this production,” said Kelleher, who is also on the board of NAC, which is celebrating its 35th year. “This was a wonderful return to the theater.”
Assistant Community Editor Owen Poole’s children were in the play.
