Presentation on future of retail in Groton to take place Tuesday

Groton ― The town’s Office of Planning and Development Services is inviting the community to an upcoming retail presentation to be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at the Town Hall Annex, Community Room 1, at 134 Groton Long Point Road.

Naviretail, a national retail advisory firm, will hold a one-hour presentation followed by a public question-and-answer session. The meeting will address national retail trends and challenges, what Groton can expect for its retail future and how the town can attract the best retailers and restaurants, according to a town notice.

Prior to the meeting, the town is asking people to participate in a poll, survey and give ideas of what they would like to see in Groton at greatergroton.com/retail-in-groton.

If people have questions, they can contact Lauren Post at (860) 446-5960 or lpost@groton-ct.gov.

Comment threads are monitored for 48 hours after publication and then closed.
