Humana Inc. has announced that the home health provider Kindred at Home’s locations in Old Saybrook will be rebranded to CenterWell Home Health. While new signage at these locations and new uniforms for employees will bring the brand to life, patients should notice little change in their experience, as CenterWell Home Health will maintain care continuity throughout the process, according to a release.

The transition of Kindred’s home health locations to CenterWell Home Health is part of Humana’s broader effort to integrate all of its home health services under the CenterWell brand throughout 2022. Now that the rebranding is finished, CenterWell Home Health has more than 350 locations across 38 states.

Humana, based in Louisville, Ky., said the brand transition “represents a major step in the full integration of home health operations into Humana.”

“The rollout of the CenterWell Home Health brand reinforces our efforts to expand our home health capabilities to meet the needs of our patients,” Andy Agwunobi, president of Humana’s Home Solutions segment, said in a statement.

In March 2021, Humana introduced CenterWell Senior Primary Care as the brand for its fast-growing group of senior-focused primary care centers across the U.S. In June of this year, Humana rebranded its pharmacy operations as CenterWell Pharmacy and CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy.

In addition to affecting all of its home health operations in Connecticut, the rebranding went into effect Sept. 1 in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
