Bell is being challenged by Democrat Derell Wilson for the 46th District House seat that covers the urban and southern sections of Norwich.

“I am incredibly proud and honored to have received a nomination from the Independent Party of Connecticut,” Bell said in a news release on the endorsement. “On behalf of the community I hope to represent, I am excited to officially add my name to a second row on the ballot this November. I thank the delegates of the Independent Party for supporting my efforts to unite our diverse and evolving city.”
