Nautilus, Submarine Force Museum to briefly close for maintenance

Groton ― Historic Ship Nautilus (SSN 571) and the U.S. Navy Submarine Force Museum are scheduled to be closed Monday through Nov. 12 for semi-annual maintenance, the Navy announced.

The museum and ship typically close for 1-2 weeks in early April and early November for maintenance.

People can visit the museum’s website, www.ussnautilus.org, or Facebook page, www.facebook.com/SubmarineMuseum, for changes to the anticipated schedule.

Historic Ship Nautilus and the Submarine Force Museum are free to the public. The museum and ship are open Wednesday – Monday (closed Tuesdays). Winter hours (November – April) are from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. Summer hours (May – October) are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
