A crowd gathered Saturday for the 2nd Annual Stonington Lobster Trap Tree lighting ceremony at the Stonington Town Dock.

The event was presented by the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce.

The new tree features dozens more traps, and more hand-painted buoy decorations than last year.

The tree will be lit until 9:30 p.m. each night and in place through January 15, 2023.
