    Uncas Health District offering quit-smoking program

    Norwich ― Uncas Health District will offer adults help kicking the smoking habit through a free program that provides coaching and social support.

    The program, open to those who live or work in eastern Connecticut, will include eight sessions over seven weeks. Free nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum and lozenges) will be offered to participants. Individual counseling will be available by appointment.

    The first class, via Zoom, will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14.

    The program is supported by a Health and Human Services Block Grant from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To register, call or text Carolyn Wilson at (860) 400-2072.
