Kala Farnham comes to Friday Night Folk

Kala Farnham will perform at Friday Night Folk on March 24, at 7:30 p.m., at All Souls UU Church, located at 19 Jay St., New London.

Armed with her voice and entourage of instruments, Kala Farnham set out into the world with one vision: To inspire through the transformative power of musical storytelling. Farnham has garnered numerous awards and recognition, including serving as the current Connecticut State Troubadour, 2020 Falcon Ridge Festival Emerging Artist, 2020 Great American Song Contest Finalist, and 2019 Rose Garden Performing Songwriter Contest winner.

Farnham's 2020 album, “Your Spirit Is a Work of Art,” explores the imperfect beauty of the human condition. Drawing from a classical education and professional career in musical theater, Kala Farnham presents a hallmark reinvention of the folk tradition; her lush musical arrangements, compelling vulnerability, and vivid storytelling draw her audience into imaginative vantagescapes of the familiar world.

Tickets: $17 in advance ($10 for students and active Military with ID) and $20 at the door. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite or by calling All Souls at (860) 443-0316; get tickets by March 23 to reserve a seat. Proof of COVID-19 vaccine or a negative test is required, and masks are encouraged. Friday Night Folk’s famous refreshments will be available.
