Police announce road closures for Sunday’s Mystic Irish Parade
Mystic _ Stonington and Groton Town police have issued temporary no parking orders and road closures in conjunction with Sunday’s annual Mystic Irish Parade.
The public consumption of alcohol at the event is prohibited.
Road closures will be in effect between 12:30 p.m. and 30 minutes after the parade ends.
The closures are as follows: Route 27 from Coogan Boulevard to School Street, Willow Street from Route 27 to Broadway Avenue, Broadway Avenue from Willow Street to East Main Street, and East Main Street from Broadway Avenue to the drawbridge.
Also, West Main Street from the drawbridge to High Street, Water Street from West Main Street to New London Road, Pearl Street from West Main Street to Clift Street, Gravel Street from West Main Street to Clift Street
Temporary no parking orders will be in effect on the following streets from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday:
Route 27 from Coogan Boulevard to School Street, Willow Street from Route 27 to Broadway Avenue, Broadway Avenue from Willow Street to East Main Street, East Main Street from Broadway Avenue to the drawbridge, School Street and Brown Street, West Main Street from the drawbridge to High Street, Water Street from West Main Street to New London Road, High Street between New London Road and West Main Street, New London Road between West Main Street and High Street, a portion of Edgecomb Street west from Burrows Street, Library Street between West Main Street and Alynn Street, Orchard Lane and Rowland Street.
