Celebrate East Lyme to take over Main Street Saturday
East Lyme ― Celebrate East Lyme will close down a portion of Main Street Saturday for hours of festivities ranging from a sand castle competition to fireworks.
Main Street will be closed from Lake Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue from 3 p.m. through the conclusion of the fireworks display, which caps the event a little after 9 p.m. over Niantic Bay.
During the day, vendors will line Main Street, and bands will play on stages at Pro-Tek Auto, Main Street Park and McCook Point Park.
St. John’s Episcopal Church hosts a carnival and Hole in the Wall Beach is the site of the sand castle competition hosted by East Lyme Parks & Recreation Department.
