Norwich ― Dodd Stadium is getting ready for its TV closeup Thursday.

The Norwich Sea Unicorns game Thursday against the Westfield Starfires will be broadcast on NESN, the only Norwich game to be aired on the cable sports network. The game will start at 7:05 p.m.

The Sea Unicorns will sell discounted tickets for $5 for seats behind home plate, and ticket purchasers will receive free rally towels. The regular Thirsty Thursday discount beer prices will be in place for the game.

Tater the Gator, the popular original mascot of the former Norwich Navigators minor league baseball team, will return to Dodd Stadium for the special occasion.

Thursday marks the return of the Norwich Sea Unicorns following the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star break. The team is in playoff contention, a half-game behind a first place tie between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Worcester Bravehearts.

For information and tickets, call the Sea Unicorns at (860) 887-7962 or go to www.goseaunicorns.com.
