Winter boardwalk work

Waterford ― Scott Pfeiffer, a seasonal park maintainer, repaired a section of the wooden railing on the boardwalk leading to the beach Thursday at Harkness Memorial State Park.

Everything will be replaced except the upright posts and the stringers that support the deck.

Members of the Friends of Harkness are helping with the project, Pfeiffer said.
