It’s official: State’s new tourism slogan is ‘Make It Here’

Gov. Ned Lamont announced Wednesday the launch of Connecticut’s tourism campaign for the spring and summer, as well as the adoption of “Make It Here” as the state’s new tourism slogan.

The slogan had been introduced in the fall as the theme of a new marketing campaign for the state.

Wednesday’s announcement was made during ConnCon ’24, the state’s tourism conference, at The Bushnell in Hartford.

The new slogan replaces “Find Your Vibe,” the name of the state tourism campaign launched in 2022. With a budget of $1.86 million, the new campaign will run from April 1 through Labor Day and spotlight hundreds of businesses statewide, ranging from hotels and restaurants to cultural attractions, theaters, wineries, breweries and state parks.

In addition to attracting visitors, the campaign also will encourage state residents to explore Connecticut’s attractions.

“We’re not just promoting tourism, we’re celebrating the essence of Connecticut ― the spirit of innovation, creativity, and community that defines us,” Lamont said. “Together, let’s showcase why Connecticut is not just a destination but a way of life.”
