    Local roundup: Coast Guard has no trouble with the offense in men's lacrosse rout

    New London — Riley McNulty, Will Iorio and Anthony Wyler scored three goals each as Coast Guard beat Emerson 23-5 in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game on Wednesday night.

    Benner Geurtsen, Jack Pope and Cole Hudson had two goals each and Wyler had four assists for Coast Guard (12-3, 5-1).

    In other games:

    • Wesleyan opened up a 12-5 lead and held on to beat Connecticut College 15-11 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game. Jack Rutter had three goals and two assists, Jordan Foster and Tommy Wynn had two goals and an assist each, Sean Smith scored twice, PJ Kelleher had a goal and four assists and A.J. Vazquez had three assists for Conn (10-5, 5-5).

    Women's lacrosse

    • MIT led 12-7 at halftime and held on to beat Coast Guard 18-16 in a NEWMAC game. Former Fitch standout Daria McKenna had four goals and two assists, Marietta Davis scored four times, Brenna Farrington had three goals, Luisa Santos had a goal and two assists, Mary Goins had two goals and an assist and Haley McCue had a goal and an assist for Coast Guard (11-5, 4-3).

    • Conn College's Jamie Navoni had four goals and an assist but the Camels lost to Wesleyan 14-11 in a NESCAC game. Clara Bisson and Meghan Corcoran had three goals each and Kirby Heffrin had two assists for Conn (4-11, 0-10). 

    Men's tennis

    • Tom Hackett won his match and teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles with Jack Phillips as Coast Guard beat Emerson 9-0 in a NEWMAC match. John Hu, Arthur Wicke and Max Holloway won their matches and Mike Melampy and Adam Bahney won their doubles match for the Bears (8-4, 4-2). Emerson forfeited three matches. 

    Women's tennis

    • No. 5 Wesleyan beat Conn College 8-1 in a NESCAC match. Conn (3-8, 1-5) earned its only point from a forfeit.

    H.S. boys' golf

    • Waterford's Ryan Sadosky was the medalist with a 4-over-par 39 as the Lancers beat Bacon Academy 6-1 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II match on Tuesday. Bruce Taggart, Nick Hynes and Tanner Correia also won their matches for Waterford (3-1, 1-1). 

    H.S. boys' tennis

    • St. Bernard picked up its first win of the season, beating NFA 7-0. Kyle Keefe, Owen Ou, Jordan Cai and Charles Anderson won their matches in straight sets for the Saints (1-4) along with Matt Graul and Gage Goodwin at No. 1 doubles. NFA (0-6) forfeited the other two matches.

    H.S. girls' track

    • St. Bernard lost to Lyman Memorial 74-66 in its ECC Division III opener on Tuesday. Aaliyah Mohamed, Rachel Kunka, Christina McCaffery, Juliet Brady, Alicia Crespo and Bella McClure won events for the Saints (1-2).

    H.S. boys' track

    • St. Bernard dropped its ECC Division III opener, losing to Lyman Memorial 111-30. Peter Lawton and Daniel Kelly won events for the Saints (0-3).
