The University of Connecticut will hold its first TEDx conference Saturday at Laurel Hall on the Storrs campus.
The sold-out event centers on the theme "Future in Focus." David McQueeney, vice president of Technical Strategy at IBM, and Wendall Wallach, chair of the Technology and Ethics Study Group at the Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics, will be among the speakers.
A live-streamed webcast of the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. conference is available at www.tedxuconn.com, and recordings will be posted on the TEDx YouTube Channel a month after the event.
UConn student Dillon Jones of Old Saybrook is one of the organizers.
