Stonington firm needs votes in Comcast contest
Two Connecticut businesses, including The Beer'd Brewing Co. LLC of Stonington, have been named finalists in Comcast Business' "Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs" program, with each winning $10,000 to help enact technology solutions.
The other state firm named by Comcast was Reality Crowd TV Media Corp. of New Britain.
The firms are among 32 eligible for a total of more than $600,000 in funding geared toward early-stage businesses. Six winners to be named in June based on public voting will get $30,000.
Voting at the web address http://business.comcast.com/i4e/vote ends May 10, and the grand prize winners will be invited to Philadelphia Aug. 12-13.
