ShopRite has been working to help hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, Florida and Texas.
This week, the supermarket chain partnered with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to load a United Airlines jet with more than 50 pallets of bottled water to help people in Puerto Rico.
In a news release, ShopRite noted that one of the lessons from 9/11 was "to work with authorities to understand the full scope of need before deploying resources to the affected region."
ShopRite also has sent a trailer of food and toiletries to the Houston Food Bank.
