    EMPLOYMENT

    William Filippone, RN, BSN, MBA, has joined Westerly Hospital as Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Filippone will be responsible for the oversight of patient care services, reporting to Kerin Da Cruz, vice president of operations. Filippone has more than 20 years of experience in numerous healthcare settings. Most recently, he served as senior director of Patient Care Services at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas, a B.S. in Nursing from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.     The Mystic River Mudheads will holst the Mudhead Benefit Cup for Center for Hospice Care on July 13 and 14. The Racer's Jam is slated for July 13 at 6 p.m. under the tent at Mystic Shipyard. Sailors and non-sailors are welcome. The fourth annual Dinghy Race by Volvo Construction Equipment, known as the SECOR Volvo Race in previous years, is back on July 12 and 13. The race will finish at Mystic Shipyard.
