Mashantucket — An escape room is set to open Saturday in the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where a ribbon-cutting will take place at 1 p.m., Spellbound Escapes, the venue's operator, announced.

In escape rooms, participants must find their way out of a themed room by following clues and solving puzzles.

“We think of these immersive games as the next evolution in entertainment — you're not just watching an adventure happen on a movie screen, you’re the main character. We try to create a playful environment that completely transports you into the story,” Jenn Killoran, Spellbound’s co-creator, said in a news release.
