    EMPLOYMENT

    Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has named Michael Fabian as its new Mortgage Officer. Fabian's experience includes 18 years within the banking industry including six years of mortgage lending experience during which he held a senior loan processing position. In addition to his work within the banking industry, he has five years of real estate experience. Fabian, who is from Madison, is an East Lyme resident.     APPOINTMENT

    Josette A. Hill of Portland has been appointed Treasurer of the Southeastern Connecticut Chapter of SCORE, a nationwide, nonprofit association and resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration that offers free advice to small-business owners. The appointment to the volunteer position was announced by Frank LaMonaca, president of the chapter, based in Old Saybrook, with locations in Essex, Guilford, Madison, Middletown, Mystic, New London, Norwich, and Waterford. Hill will be responsible for fiscal control and reporting, accounting and finance, risk management, and tax reporting.     William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty has opened a new office in Niantic. The brokerage joins the firm's Old Lyme brokerage to become its second New London County location. The Niantic brokerage manager is Heather Gagnon, who also serves as the manager for the company's Old Lyme brokerage.
