Susan Lusher and Andrew Macione were married on May 23, 2009, at St. Joseph Church in New London. The Rev. Joseph Castaldi officiated the afternoon ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Lusher Jr. and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lusher Sr., all of Waterford. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Macione of Waterford and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raynold Lemaire of Lisbon.

Michelle Condon was the matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Emily Macione, sister of the groom, Amanda McNeil, Lenna Levine, Denielle Balsari, Katie Flament, and Alisa D'Amore, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Alicia and Briana Smith, cousins of the bride.

Best man was Garrett Boehm. Groomsmen were Nick Condon, brother-in-law of the bride, Nick Kenyon and Ryan McNeil, friends of the groom.

Susie graduated from Waterford High School in 2003. She is a 2007 graduate of Providence College with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics. She earned her master's degree in accounting from UConn and is employed as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche in Hartford.

Andrew is also a 2003 graduate of Waterford High School. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. Andrew is a fluids engineer at Electric Boat in Groton.

Following a reception at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, the couple honeymooned in St. Lucia.

They reside in Waterford.
