Sherry Lynn Blake wed James D. Ascare on May 26 at the home of the groom’s parents in Stonington. The bride is the daughter of Donald Blake, Sr., and Patricia Blake of Chester. The groom is son of Donald Ascare, Sr., and Kathy Ascare of Stonington.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Kristen Watson of Chester served as honor attendant. The best man was Brian Blake Watson of Belfast, Maine.

The bride is a 1980 graduate of Valley Regional High School and a graduate of Branford Hall School of Business. She is the owner of Sherry’s Cleaning.

The groom is a 1980 graduate of Stonington High School. He is employed as a chef.

The couple resides in New London.
