New London — The parents of Keith Turner and Emily Thornton are thrilled to announce the engagement of their children. A wedding will be celebrated in January 2021.

Parents of the bride are Beth and Doug Thornton of St. Simons Island, Ga. Emily attended American University in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing. Emily is employed as a consultant at ANNUITAS based in Atlanta, Ga.

Parents of the groom Sherry Turner of Niantic and Philip Turner (deceased). Keith Turner of New London, received a bachelor’s degree in engineering at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. and received a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga. Keith is employed as a loan originator with Homestead Funding Corp in New London.
