Groton — Six sailors of "Class 17110" graduated from Machinist's Mate (Weapons) "A" School on July 14.

Fireman Chase Sahadeo received the Torpedoman Plaque as class honorman.

Machinist's Mate (Weapons) "A" School is a 10-week enlisted apprentice training school providing basic knowledge and skills at the entry level in the MM (Submarines) rating in Shipboard 3-M, Mechanical Skills, Three-Inch Launcher operation, Explosives, Torpedo Tubes and MK 48 ADCAP torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles.
