Groton – For the 18th year, the U.S. Submarine Veterans Groton Base will be providing a Thanksgiving meal to vets, active duty Navy sailors and their families who may need a place to go during the holiday.

The annual event feeds between 1,000 and 1,500 people. The group will serve a Thanksgiving meal from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday at their clubhouse, 40 School St. Reservations are not required.

Meals will be delivered to those who cannot make it in person. Meal deliveries will occur between 10 a.m. and noon Thursday. To request a delivery, call (860) 445-5262.
