Subvets to host Veterans Day program Monday

Groton — On Monday, the U.S. Submarine Veterans Group will host a Veterans Day ceremony at the Submarine Force Library & Museum at 11 a.m.

City of Groton Mayor Keith Hedrick and U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, D-2nd District, will address attendees. Courtney will talk about new Department of Veterans Affairs resources being made available to so-called Blue Water Navy veterans, those who served on ships in the territorial seas of Vietnam, as a result of recently enacted legislation.
