    Bushong inspects NJROTC at New London High School

    New London - Rear Adm. Paul J. Bushong, commander of Submarine Group Two, participated in the annual inspection and pass and review for New London High School's Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Wednesday.The unit's Color Guard, Weapons and Non-Weapons drill teams demonstrated their skills in front of parents, school and community officials and Bushong.

I appreciate the hard work getting your uniforms ready and looking and being sharp," Bushong told more than 90 cadets. "I also congratulate each of you for being part of NJROTC. I think it is important. The things you learn in this program, the discipline, working together as a team, physical conditioning and more, set you up for success in life."

Snodgrass led a cadet-run presentation about the unit and the unit's student leadership had lunch with Bushong.

Ted Ward, the unit's senior naval science instructor, helped established the unit at the high school during the 2002-03 school year. The group was named the distinguished unit for 2009.
