    Two classes graduate from Naval Sub School

    Groton— Two classes graduated from the Naval Submarine School on Wed., Nov. 27.

    Seventy-five officers, “Class 13070,” graduated from the Submarine Officer Basic Course. Ensign William Love, the honor graduate, received the L. Y. Spear Award. Lt. j.g. Eowyn Pedicini received the Admiral Andrew I. McKee Award and Ensign Paul Underwood received the Naval Submarine League Tactical Excellence Award.

    Ninety sailors of “Class 14020,” USS Lizard Fish (SS-373), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School. Fire Control Second Class Alexander Heck was the class honorman. Seaman Recruit Willie Vegas received the Submarine Heritage Award. Seaman Apprentice Nicholas Callands received the Navy Core Values Award and Fireman Recruit Frankie Ortiz was meritoriously advanced.

    Callands, Fireman Apprentice Scott Hofer, Seaman Apprentice Gabriel Muhammad, Seaman William Harrison, Seaman Jason Combs, Seaman Apprentice Jairo Rodriguez, Seaman Recruit Logan Meacham, Seaman Austin Heyser, Seaman Apprentice Cody Beaver, Fireman Tyler Jones, Fireman Recruit David Phillips, Seaman Apprentice Jordan Moren, Seaman Recruit Dustin Parrish, Fireman Apprentice Steven Thompson, Machinist's Mate Third Class Martin Quintal and Machinist's Mate Third Class Ryan Clayton were graduates with distinction.
