A list of local businesses offering deals during shutdown

From free museum admission to discounted meals, businesses in southeastern Connecticut are stepping up to help those impacted by the longest government shutdown in history.
"I think what's wonderful about this region is there's a huge affection for the work people do for the military," Tony Sheridan, president of the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce told The Day recently.
