'The Bachelorette': Luke P. wouldn't leave, so Hannah moved her roses out of reach

If there's one image that encapsulates this season, it's Bachelorette Hannah Brown picking up a rose stand, taking four steps forward and moving it away from Luke. She'd already sent him home - and here he was, crashing the rose ceremony and trying to get yet another chance. It was a physical way of saying: You don't even go here. I have moved on. See me move on. Now, go.

Last week Hannah sent Luke home during their date in Greece, before they reached the Fantasy Suite. He stated that if she'd slept with any of the other men, he'd be going home. She said she had - and in a rare moment of sex-positivity on this show, Hannah didn't apologize for or regret her choices. "I have had sex ... and Jesus still loves me," she told him.

Luke tried to backtrack. If she made a mistake, he could work through that, he said. But Hannah didn't think any of it was a mistake. She finally had clarity that Luke wasn't her husband, she told him, and practically had to push him into the Bachelorette getaway vehicle.

And yet, here we were, a week later, with Luke crashing the rose ceremony, saying he wants closure.

In the van on the way to the ceremony, Luke told the camera that "this isn't over for me yet." He was certain she loved him, even though she hadn't said as much. "I'm on my way and I'm coming," Luke said to the camera, in what he probably thought sounded romantic but actually resembled a threat.

Luke took his place in line at the rose ceremony, deciding he was still in the game because he wanted to be there.

"Why are you here?" a shocked and angry Hannah asked him. When Luke said he wanted clarity and closure, Hannah was adamant she'd already been clear. "Just get away from me," she told him. "You will leave because I've already sent you home," she added.

He wasn't leaving. The other three men still in this - Jed, Peter and Tyler - got out of their rose-awaiting lineup and advanced. Their girlfriend needed backup ... and they were there to help get her message across.

When Luke just didn't leave, Hannah resorted to physicality to make her point. She picked up the rose stand and moved it forward, away from Luke. For a man who constantly twists his words and others' to make it seem that, no, he didn't really say whatever is upsetting you so much (even though he definitely did), perhaps a physical gesture would sink in more than a verbal one.

"I move my own furniture," Hannah said in a tweet about the moment. Twitter loved it.

During the "Men Tell All" portion of the episode, the other men laid into Luke about his refusal to leave. Chris gave Luke a chance to explain, and he further gaslighted the audience, trying to say he didn't actually slut-shame Hannah. "No means no," Grant said, using the consent mantra and adding, "Go means go."

When Hannah took the stage, she confirmed that the "Luke P. show is canceled." She apologized to Bachelor Nation for keeping him on the show for so long. Though she was thankful for one thing: Maybe her dismissal of Luke could help other women exit their own toxic relationships.

Sometimes you have to physically remove yourself - and your roses - to get that point across.
