Movie tip: "Anchorman 2"

Stay classy, movie-goers! Ron Burgundy is back in all his pompous, addled glory - and no one does pompous and addled as entertainingly as Will Ferrell. That said, "Anchorman 2" doesn't live up to the original. It's a hit-and-miss affair, with some laugh-out-loud bits and then some uninspired stretches. It is funny and apropos that the doltish Burgundy invents a lot of the worst trends of modern TV news, but some of the other subplots elicit just a shrug. The talents of poor Christina Applegate and Greg Kinnear, for instance, are wasted as Burgundy's ex and her new boyfriend. Kristen Wiig, though, provides the perfect girlfriend for Steve Carell's Brick, and a few cameos are priceless.
