Free opera on the Saybrook green

Salt Marsh Opera will present a free concert of opera favorites and Broadway selections at 6:30 tonight on the Old Saybrook Town Green, adjacent to the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.
Featured in the show are bass/baritone David Pittsinger and soprano Patricia Schuman. Pittsinger made history by singing in "Hamlet" at the Met and in "South Pacific" at Lincoln Center on the same day. His wife, Schuman, is celebrated for her starring roles in Mozart operas across the globe.
Simon Holt, artisic director of Salt Marsh Opera, will host "Opera in the Park." Accompanist is Dan Franklin Smith.
