The Dallas Moore Band plays Thursday in the Hygienic Art Park for 'Live Lunch Break'
It's been a long time since roots music was a largely Southern product, and our own regional music scene is rife with fine purveyors of Americana.
Still, it's fun when a real Dixie Rock dude comes through – and we're delighted that the Dallas Moore Band will be our guests Thursday on The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series.
I mean, the guy's name is Dallas! Would you trust an Outlaw Country picker named Hoboken Moore? I thought not.
Turns out Moore is headquartered out of Kentucky and is signed to the prestigious Sol Music label. The band's on tour behind a new album called "Dark Horse Rider," which is full of honky-tonk authenticity and Beam-marinated observations about the lunatic planet called Earth.
As is appropriate for a world-class touring band, this episode of "Lunch Break" marks the seasonal, outdoor return of the show to the Hygienic Art Park in New London. Feel free to bring a lunch and spend some time getting to know the greatness of the Dallas Moore Band.
