Motley Crue vocalist Vince Neil brings his solo show to the Wolf Den Saturday

What, it’s not enough that Mötley Crüe just completed a nine-year farewell tour? You know, with a binding contract suggesting that, if even one Crüester ever tries to reform the group, he will be immediately shipped to to Styx just in time to join the anniversary tour for “Mr. Roboto”? The tour that ended on New Year’s night in L.A.?

Well, it’s only two weeks later and already Crüe vocalist Vince Neil is out on the road with a solo show that comes to the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on Saturday.

Of course, if you’re a fan, you might well enjoy Neil solo stuff — as from his 2010 “Tattoos & Tequila” album. But no worries either way. You can rest assured the Wolf Den show will not boast a set list stuffed with “Tattoos & Tequila” songs. Rather, expect a wide sampling of Crüe material — just minus the fireworks, roller coaster drum kit, Hooters-girls-posing-as-roadies, etc etc.

Which makes it all sorta interesting. Without the bombast and the production and pyrotechnics and hookers, we’ll see how well the ol’ Crüe numbers hold up in a pure, bar-band setting. Pretty well, I’d think.
