Lee Brice plays Mohegan Sun Arena
Before he was a chart-topping singer, Lee Brice was a chart-topping songwriter.
Brice wrote “More Than a Memory,” which Garth Brooks recorded. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart. Another No. 1: Eli Young Band’s version of Brice’s “Crazy Girl.”
Brice eventually ended up being a star in his own right. His run of singles is pretty impressive, including recent radio staples like “Memory I Don’t Mess With,” “Rumor” and “Drinking Class.” He also scored with his duet with Carly Pearce on “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”
I remember seeing Brice back when he was an opening act for Luke Bryan, and he was already a charismatic performer who sounded great live. That show was 2014 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. On Sunday, Brice is the main attraction at the Arena. It's a well-earned career rise for a talented guy.
