Man of many talents Wayne Brady plays Foxwoods
If ever a performer were born to do a one-man show, it’s Wayne Brady.
He’s a tremendous comic.
He’s a lightning-fast improviser. See his episodes of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” if you need proof.
He’s a Broadway-level singer. He starred in “Kinky Boots” and “Chicago” on New York stages. And he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Vocal performance for his cover of Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come.”
He’s a skilled host — in the past on his eponymous talk show and currently on “Let’s Make a Deal.”
He’s a dramatic actor. He played a baby-stealing doctor on “The Bold & the Beautiful.”
So when Brady is in concert Saturday at Foxwoods, well, who knows what other talents he’ll showcase. Whatever the case, you know you’re in for a good show at this gig dubbed "A Night of Music & Comedy."
Wayne Brady, 8 p.m. Saturday, Great Cedar Showroom, Foxwoods; $55, $65; foxwoods.com.
