    Singing Vandross

Norwich native Christopher Faison has been on the road in the national tour of “My Fair Lady” (he was also in the Broadway production).

Now, he’s back in town and performing here.

He will do his one-man show, “Here and Now: The Music of Luther Vandross,” Sunday at the Chestnut Street Playhouse in Norwich.

The production is a tribute to the legendary Vandross, and Faison sings some of Luther’s greatest hits, including “Never Too Much,” “Any Love” and “Dance With My Father.”

Faison thinks the show should appeal to both diehard Vandross fans and to folks who are new to Luther.

“Luther had an incredible catalogue of music and a fascinating life. His story of love and longing is one I think we can all attest to,” Faison said.

“Here and Now: The Music of Luther Vandross,” 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Chestnut Street Playhouse, 24 Chestnut St., Norwich; tickets are $20 for general admission, and $30 for premium table seats, which includes a complimentary glass of wine and a post-show meet and greet; (860) 886-2378.
