Taylor Swift album listening party at the United
Taylor Swift can’t say that her (kind of) hometown doesn’t support her.
The United in Westerly has thrown more than one event celebrating all things Swift, who owns a mansion in Watch Hill.
The theater screened her tour movie, of course, and organized related after-parties, and it also held a “Swifties Rally for K.C.” event related to the Kansas City Chiefs competing in the Super Bowl.
This week, the United is holding a listening party for Swift’s new album, of “The Tortured Poets Department.”
The festivities on Friday will include dancing, signature cocktails and mocktails and photo ops.
“The Tortured Poets Department” Listening Party, 7 p.m. Friday, The United, 5 Canal St., Westerly; free, but to ensure entry, register at www.unitedtheatre.org.
