NYPD: Motorcyclists pull over, beat SUV driver

New York (AP) — Police are looking for a group of motorcyclists who beat the driver of a SUV after chasing him off a New York City highway.

Police say it began Sunday afternoon on the West Side Highway in upper Manhattan when the driver got into an accident with one of the bikers near 125th Street.

The two pulled over but were surrounded by a large group of bikers who began damaging the 33-year-old victim's Range Rover.

The driver, who was traveling with his wife and toddler, managed to get away but was pursued by the bikers for about 2 miles. Police say about 30 bikers surrounded the vehicle, beat the driver and damaged SUV's windows and tires.

The victim needed stitches to his face. His wife and child were unhurt.

Police arrested the biker who was involved in the initial accident.
