Marion Elizabeth (“Marney”) Lauer, 92, a long time resident of Killingworth, died peacefully on Nov. 15 at her home. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. Marney was born Marion Elizabeth Davis on July 21, 1918 in Canton, New York. She was married on Jan. 17, 1942 to lifelong Killingworth resident, Carl Alexander Lauer, who predeceased her in December 2005. She had lived in Killingworth since 1951 and was a member of the Killingworth Congregational Church. Marney made her home the place to be for family and friends. All were welcome at her table.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Lauer of Old Bridge, New Jersey, and Michael Lauer of Candia, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Horton of Loughman, Florida, and two brothers, Henry of Canton, New York, and Charles of Crarie Mills, New York.

Visitation will be held at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, on Saturday Nov. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m.
