    Nadia Tymkow Fischer, 83, Madison, formerly of Windsor

    Nadia Tymkow Fischer, 83, of 95 Rolling Meadow Rd., Madison, formerly of Windsor, died March 28 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late George John Fischer. She was born in Hartford on Aug. 15, 1927, daughter of the late Joseph and Katerina Polozewich Tymkow. Mrs. Fischer was a graduate of Hillyer College, known today as the University of Hartford.  She was also a lifelong member of the Madison Beach Club.

    She is survived by her beloved children, Thomas G. Fischer of Madison, Kenneth J. Fischer and Lynne-Raum Fischer of East Granby, Robert S. Fischer of Palo Alto, California, and Laurie Fischer Davis of Alameda, California. She was the proud grandmother of Kimberly Anne Fischer of New York City, New York, and Fischer Jack Davis and Jack Thomas Davis, both of Alameda, California. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene Mack of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Vera Hunter and her husband George of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Alice Fischer of West Hartford, Lillian Hensen of East Hartford, and Carol Tymkow of Windsor; her friend and caregiver, Marisa Russo of East Haven; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Tymkow, Jr.

    A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, on Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m., followed by burial in West Cemetery, Route 1, Madison. Friends may call on Friday, April 1, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
