    Dale Frolander Breslin, 66, Deep River

    Dale Frolander Breslin, 66, of Deep River, died surrounded by her family on Sept. 19 at Middlesex Hospice.  She was the wife of the late Tom Breslin. Born in Middletown on Dec. 7, 1944, Dale was the beloved daughter of Donald Frolander of Kansas and the late Thelma (Larson) Monaco, and the beloved stepdaughter of Evelyn Frolander.

    Dale and her husband Tom started the Breslin Construction Company.  Dale had also been the owner and operator of Witch Meadow Campground in the 1980s.  She then moved to Virginia where she lived for over 20 years and worked at the local funeral home.  For the last six years Dale had been a vital employee of the Swan Funeral Home.  Her smile was contagious, and she was always a true lady.  She had a way about her that always made everyone feel special.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

    Besides her father and his wife, she is survived by her sisters, Carol Smith of Old Saybrook and Linda Gahrmann and her husband Ed of Ivoryton; her aunt, Phyllis Wollock of Old Saybrook; her nieces, Tracey Ambrosino of Chester, Gaye Foreman of Chester, Donna Smith Weeks of Old Lyme, and Erica Nipper of Willimantic; and her nephew, Daryl Krajewski of Oregon. Besides her husband and mother, she was predeceased by her good friend Denny. 

    A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook.  Inurnment will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex Hospital Hospice, 27 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06475.  For online tributes and condolences, visit www.swanfuneralhomeoldsaybrook.com
