John Ewing Lynk, 66, of New Haven, died on Sept. 27 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  A life-long resident of Morris Cove, John was born in New Haven on Feb. 21, 1945, son of the late Ewing and Ann Lauro Lynk.  He retired after 27 years from Eagle Leasing Company in Orange, where he had been the operations manager.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Lynk of Branford and John Lynk, Jr. of New Haven; a daughter, Brittany Lynk of New Haven; and his sister, Aileen Butricks of East Haven. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Valerie Lynk; his grandsons, Antonio and Benicio Lynk; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, and loving friend, Tracy Lynk.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Robert “Tuna” Lynk, William Lynk, and Richard "Ricky" Lynk.

A graveside service took place on Oct. 1 in Beaverdale Memorial Park.  The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
