Kenneth D. Morrison Jr., 83, of Ivoryton, loving husband of the late Emma (Werenko) Morrison, died Dec. 5 at Branford Hospice. Ken was born in Danbury the son of the late Kenneth D. and Ann (Almy) Morrison. Ken was a longtime funeral director, starting at Munson Funeral Home in Woodbury for many years and also at Robinson and Wright Funeral Home where he worked from 1967 to 1974. After leaving the funeral industry, Ken held various positions working with his hands. He was a 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite out of Estuary Lodge # 43 in Old Saybrook. He is survived by his son Kenneth D. and his wife Catherine (Hart) Morrison of Ivoryton, his daughter Linda of Arizona, granddaughter Mary Morton of Ivoryton, and his brothers William of Canada and John of Connecticut.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a church and memorial service for Ken at the First Baptist Church, 10 Prospect Street in Essex on Sunday at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
