    Dorothy Ann Philbrick Scinto, 81, New Haven

    Dorothy Ann Philbrick Scinto, 81, of New Haven, died in New Haven on Feb. 8. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur V. Scinto. She was born on Dec.20, 1930 in South Berwick, Maine, daughter of the late Maurice Philbrick and Ethel Hoyt Philbrick Schindler. She had been employed as a machine operator for over 30 years at Pratt-Whitney Corporation and was a longtime member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in New Haven, where she was a deaconess of the church and a member of the Pilgrim Hooker Knitting Club. She was also an avid Red Sox fan, loved Bingo and trips to the casino, and was a lover of all animals, especially her cat, Crystal.

    She is survived by her beloved children, Jean Powers and her husband Kevin of New Haven, Patricia Piscitello and her husband Paul of Branford, Barbara Ginger and her husband James of New Haven, and Ronnie Scinto and his wife Rose of East Haven. She was the grandmother of Stacy Wuchek and her husband Michael, Sean Philbrick and his wife Kristine Fiorillo, Janeen Powers, Lucia Piscitello, Nina Goraieb and her husband Anthony, Paul Piscitello, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, Chellsey Scinto, Jaclyn Scinto, Tabitha Ginger, and Cordel Ginger. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jason, Kyle, and Paul III; a daughter-in-law, Sandi Petrulis; and her best friend, Julia Papuga. She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence Philbrick; her sister, Pauline Pochlopek; and an infant brother.

    Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m., at Pilgrim Congregational Church, New Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
