Robert Dorio, 50, of North Haven, died Feb. 21 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  He was the husband of Stephanie Sawyer Dorio.  Robert was born in New Haven on July 4, 1961, son of Florence Carlson Dorio of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of West Haven, and the late Anthony Dorio.  Robert was most happy and at peace during his cross country trips.  He was an avid sports enthusiast and an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.

Besides his wife and mother, Robert is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Julia Dorio.  He is also survived by his brother, Michael Dorio and his wife Carol of New Haven, and his sister, Amy Dorio of West Haven.

Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Friday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m.  Private burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
