Alice Cullen Fleming, 93, of Pool Rd., North Haven, died May 6 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Daniel Joseph Fleming.  Alice was born in Waterbury on June 19, 1918, daughter of the late Paul J. and Helen Cullen. She was an active parishioner at St. Barnabas Church. She also attended the Clelian Adult Day Care Center, enjoyed knitting, sewing, and traveling, and was an excellent pie maker, but her joy and happiness was her family. 

She is survived by her six children, Daniel P. Fleming and his wife Angela of North Haven, Helen Fleming of East Haven, Patricia Fryer and her husband Jack of North Branford, Diedre Fleming of New York City, Alicia Fleming Sato and her husband Morihiko, also of New York City, and Christine Lewis and her husband Michael of Andover, Massachusetts.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Fryer and his wife Keri, Danny Fryer, Patrick Fryer and his wife Jamie, Daniel J. Fleming II, Juliet Sato, Celia, Eliza, and Douglas Lewis, Jennifer Bibby-Gerth and her husband Jonathan, and Michael Bibby, as well as her great-grandchildren, Colin, Lucy Virginia and John Paul Fryer IV.  She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Cullen, and a sister, Arlene Palladino.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Wednesday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Barnabas Church at 11 a.m.   Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 to 10:30 a.m.  Private burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clelian Adult Day Care Center, 261 Benham St., Hamden, CT  06514. www.northhavenfuneral.com
