Adrienne Mattei Zona, 59, of East Haven, died after a long illness at the Masonicare Health Center on May 26, with her family by her side.  She was born in New Haven on Aug. 6, 1952, daughter of the late Dominick and Irene Caccavale Mattei. Adrienne had worked as an AT&T operator.

She is survived by her beloved children, Dawn Sullivan Ciampini and her husband Chet of North Haven and Christopher Sullivan of East Haven. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jackie, Dominick, Brandon, Brian, Anthony, and Jonathon; two sisters, Cynthia Carofano of Texas and Brenda Ciaburri and her husband Tony of Hamden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Brian Sullivan.
