Margaret Smith, 88, of Clinton, died on Nov. 3.  She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Donald Smith. Margaret was born in Meriden on April 7, 1924, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Race) Morris.  Known to her family and friends as “Sis,” Margaret enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her bridge group.  She also donated her time as a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer and loved spending time with family at outings and picnics. 

Besides her loving husband, she is survived by two children, Peter Smith and his wife Nancy (Stevenson) of New Jersey and James Smith and his wife Claire Levesque of Meriden; her daughter-in-law Jan Smith of Hebron; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Summers of Middletown and Dorothy Bresnahan and her husband Richard of Scituate, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her son William Smith. 

Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton.
